Legal
Terms of use.
The rules that govern your use of NOANE.io, the public marketing and reference website for the NOANE Protocol, operated by LITH LLC.
Effective date: 24 May 2026. Version 1.0.
1. Acceptance
What you accept by using this site.
By accessing or using NOANE.io (the "Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and by the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site. These terms form a binding agreement between you and LITH LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("LITH", "we", "our"). If you are using the Site on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these terms.
2. Permitted Use
How you may use the Site.
The Site is a public marketing and reference website. You may read it, link to it, cite it in research, and submit inquiries through the contact form for legitimate business purposes. You may quote short excerpts with attribution to NOANE Protocol (noane.io). The Citation Kit at /citation-kit/ defines preferred citation language.
You agree not to:
- use the Site or its contents to violate any law or regulation;
- submit false, misleading, or impersonated information through any form;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Site, its underlying systems, the Cloudflare Worker, or the email infrastructure that handles contact-form submissions;
- probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Site or breach any security or authentication measures;
- interfere with the operation of the Site, including by transmitting malware, denial-of-service traffic, or automated bulk submissions;
- scrape the Site at a rate that disrupts service, or use crawled content for spam, automated impersonation, or to train models in violation of these terms;
- frame, mirror, or republish substantial portions of the Site as if they were your own, or remove copyright or trademark notices;
- reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source of the underlying NOANE Protocol implementation from this marketing site (the marketing site is a description, not a reference implementation).
3. Intellectual Property
Who owns what is on the Site.
All content on the Site, including text, structure, graphics, logos, marks, schema, and source HTML, is owned by LITH LLC or its licensors and is protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. NOANE and the NOANE wordmark are marks of LITH LLC. The NOANE Protocol is the subject of US Patent 12,387,199 B2, held by LITH LLC. Nothing on the Site grants any licence, express or implied, to any LITH LLC patent, trademark, or trade secret, except the limited permission to view and cite the Site as described in section 2.
Third-party marks, where mentioned, are the property of their respective owners and are referenced for identification only; their use does not imply endorsement or affiliation.
4. Informational Content; No Advice
What this Site is, and what it is not.
The Site describes the NOANE Protocol and the work of LITH LLC. It is provided for informational purposes only. It is not a security review, an audit report, a regulatory filing, a legal opinion, financial advice, or an offering of securities. Technical descriptions of the protocol, including architecture, claims about hardware-anchored custody, and roadmap content, may be updated, refined, or superseded; nothing on the Site constitutes a binding specification, a service-level commitment, or a guarantee that future product capabilities will match present descriptions.
5. Third-Party Links and Resources
Links to other sites.
The Site links to third-party resources, including the Social Science Research Network (SSRN), academic DOI registries, social platforms (LinkedIn, X), and sub-processor privacy policies. LITH LLC does not control these resources and is not responsible for their content, availability, security, or privacy practices. Following a third-party link is at your own risk.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Site is provided as is.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Site, its content, and all related materials are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, completeness, or that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties; in those jurisdictions, the exclusions in this section apply only to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
7. Limitation of Liability
Limits on what LITH LLC can be liable for.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LITH LLC, its members, officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Site, even if LITH LLC has been advised of the possibility of such damages. LITH LLC's aggregate liability for any direct damages arising from your use of the Site is limited to one hundred United States dollars (US$100). Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages; in those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the smallest extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, willful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
8. Indemnification
Your responsibility for misuse.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LITH LLC and its members, officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates from and against any claim, demand, loss, liability, damage, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your breach of these terms, your misuse of the Site, your violation of any law or regulation, or your violation of any third-party right. LITH LLC reserves the right, at its own expense, to assume the exclusive defence and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you, in which case you agree to cooperate with LITH LLC's defence of that claim.
9. Governing Law and Venue
Which law applies, and where disputes are heard.
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these terms or to the Site shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of those courts. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply. Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable rights you may have as a consumer under the mandatory law of your country of residence.
10. Changes; Severability; Contact
Housekeeping.
Changes. We may revise these terms at any time by posting an updated version on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the Site after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Severability. If any provision of these terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permissible and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
Entire agreement. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and LITH LLC relating to your use of the Site and supersede any prior agreements on the same subject matter.
